Dioceses
The Roman-Catholic Church in Germany consists of 27 (arch-)dioceses which form a total of seven church provinces. The current structure goes back to extensive reorganization in the course of German reunification.
The dioceses and archdioceses are represented in the Association of German Dioceses (VDD); all bishops are members of the German Bishops' Conference (DBK).
Programm Cyle I
Program Cycle I of Church in Mentoring consists of two groups (1 and 2).
Nine (arch-)dioceses are part of the 1. mentoring group: Aachen (3 tandems), Bamberg (1 tandem), Cologne (2 tandems), Essen (3 tandems), Hildesheim (3 tandems), Limburg (2 tandems), Munich and Freising (3 tandems), Münster (2 tandems) and Trier (2 tandems).
Eight (arch-)dioceses are part of the 2. mentoring group: Berlin/Caritas (3 tandems), Cologne (2 tandems), Dresden-Meißen (3 tandems), Hamburg (1 tandem), Magdeburg (3 tandems), Munich and Freising (3 tandems), Münster (2 tandems) and Osnabrück (1 tandem).
Program Cycle II
Program Cycle II of "Church in Mentoring" consists of two groups (3 and 4), of which the first is split into two sub-groups (3 a and 3 b):
Fifteen (arch-)dioceses and/or aid organizations take part in the 3. mentoring group: Aachen (3 tandems), Augsburg (2 tandems), Bamberg (2 tandems), Berlin/Caritas (3 tandems), Cologne (2 tandems), Dresden-Meissen (3 tandems), Essen (4 tandems), Freiburg, (2 tandems), Limburg (2 tandems), Misereor (1 tandem), Munich and Freising (3 tandems), Münster (2 tandems), Paderborn (2 tandems), Osnabrück (1 tandem), Würzburg/Caritas (2 tandems)
